In recent years, the number of requests to join the YouTube Partner Program has been declining. This is due to several factors, including the increasing difficulty of meeting the program’s requirements, the growing competition for views and subscribers, and the changing landscape of online video.
Youtube is expanding its’ shopping affiliate program to U.S.-based creators who are part of YPP(youtube partner program) and have more than 20,000 subscribers. from now they are allowed to tag products featured in their videos from popular brands and retailers. These affiliate offers will have a label noting that they are commission-based.
YouTube introduced shopping-related features for Shorts to some U.S.-based creators last November.
The monetization rules are also changed.to join their partner program, the expected requirements are lower.
